Velvix Expands Philippines Footprint with Casino Machine Deal in Manila

A new partnership with LaVie Resort & Casino Manila sees Velvix supply electronic gaming machines alongside installation, training and backend services, deepening its presence in the Philippine market.

Velvix and LaVie Casino partnership

Velvix has added another foothold in Manila, signing a cooperation agreement with LaVie Resort & Casino Manila for 16 electronic gaming machines, in a deal that bundles cabinets with backend support, installation, training and maintenance.

The move, announced on Monday, extended a broader push into the Philippines at a time when LaVie’s owner, International Entertainment Corp., is also building an online gaming presence through partnerships tied to DigiPlus Interactive, per PhilStar

Velvix will provide CurlX EGM products, shipment support, training and backend system.

Service-led push in a crowded market

Stanley Ku, Velvix’s chief executive, said the Philippines is “an exciting and important market for Velvix,” and described the LaVie deal as “a meaningful opportunity” to introduce the company’s CurlX platform and game content to local players and operators.

LaVie vice president for slot operations Stephen Tham said the venue had “strong expectations” for the partnership and pointed to Velvix’s “strong and consistent performance” against its operating benchmarks.

“Velvix’s slot machines have demonstrated strong and consistent performance against our operating benchmarks, meeting the standards we look for in the Philippine market and showing the potential to compete in a highly demanding environment.”

“We believe Velvix’s game content and hardware quality will further strengthen our gaming portfolio, deliver a more compelling experience for our players, and create meaningful growth opportunities for our operations”.

Manila has itself been developing its digital gaming offerings, with OKADA PLAY launching in the Okada Manila this May.
