Fifth Street To Take Over Casino Ops at Oyo Hotel Following AI Scandal
Oyo Hotel was formerly Hooters Casino Hotel
Fifth Street Gaming is set to take over casino operations at Oyo Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, pending approval from Nevada regulators.
This came as Paragon Gaming stepped away after the property was caught using fictitious hotel brands and AI-generated images on major booking platforms.
Casino.org reported that Fifth Street chief executive Seth Schorr confirmed the move.
Management Shift after Booking-Site Fallout
The handover comes after Oyo was exposed for listing itself under names such as Palette Las Vegas and Collection O Las Vegas, a tactic that left travellers believing they were booking separate, more upmarket hotels.
The listings were removed after scrutiny from media outlets and travel creators.
Property Stays Open
Oyo, which opened in the former Hooters Casino Hotel space in 2019, is expected to remain fully operational during the transition. Its parent company, PRISM, has no current plan to sell or demolish the property.
The change comes as changes are made to other Las Vegas properties. Las Vegas recently approved a heart-shaped casino on the SkyVue site.
Fifth Street, meanwhile, is best known for running Downtown Grand in Las Vegas and expects to remain in that role even as the property changes hands.
