Cell Solution

PRODUCT: LongFi Connect MANUFACTURER: LongFi Solutions

Walking through a casino, guests use cellphones more than most of us notice—adding credits at a machine, pulling up a room key at check-in, scanning a ticket at the concert door, checking sportsbook odds between hands. Each of those moments leans on a working indoor signal, and indoors is where cell service commonly struggles.

Thick walls, steel, and dense construction keep the signal from the nearest outdoor tower from reaching the floor. The traditional fix, a cellular distributed antenna system (DAS), carries heavy up-front cost and construction that reaches deep into the building. Meanwhile, many casinos already pay for more Wi-Fi capacity than they use.

LongFi Connect, from LongFi Solutions, turns that unused Wi-Fi capacity into better indoor cell service for guests. It runs on Passpoint, a connection standard already built into most modern smartphones. A compatible phone recognizes the property’s Wi-Fi as a trusted network and switches over on its own when the cell signal weakens. No app, no login screen, nothing for the guest to do.

Carrier traffic stays on its own LongFi Connect lane, kept apart from point-of-sale, surveillance and business-critical systems through network segmentation, firewall rules, and client isolation. Everything else on the network keeps working as it always has. No new hardware is required if the Wi-Fi environment is compatible, and deployment starts with zero cost, secure separation, and no disruption to operations. Compatibility is reviewed during site qualification.

Because carriers place real value on improved connectivity, participating properties can share in the upside as part of the partnership.

LongFi Connect runs today in more than 200 active venues across the U.S., transferring 130-plus TB of mobile data and connecting more than 7 million mobile users monthly, with over 70 percent of a typical site’s mobile subscribers supported on day one. Its hardest test came during Mardi Gras 2026: 41 active venues over seven days, 25.8 TB of data across 1.22 million mobile user sessions, and zero reported disruptions to POS, cameras, or core operations.
