50,000 Canadians Visit Las Vegas Casinos in First Three Months of “At-Par” Program
Three downtown Las Vegas casinos are reporting early success from a Canadian-focused pricing push as cross-border travel patterns remain uneven.

- Over 50,000 Canadian visitors embraced parity offer in three months
- Program generated over $10 million in slot play and 5,100 room bookings
- Casinos aim to ease exchange frustrations amid broader travel tensions
Circa Resort & Casino, the D Las Vegas and Golden Gate Hotel & Casino began treating Canadian dollars as U.S. dollars on select hotel, bar and gaming purchases in January, with the offer set to run through Aug. 31, 2026.
The move is designed to soften exchange-rate friction for travelers weighing a U.S. trip.
Early Traction
In a statement released Thursday per Toronto Sun, the properties said the program had drawn more than 50,000 Canadian visitors in its first three months, generated more than 5,100 room bookings and produced over $10 million in slot play.
In its first month, the casino recorded that more than 15,000 Canadians used the dollar parity program. It generated over 2,700 room reservations which resulted in the program being extended.
‘Appreciative of the loyalty they continue to show the city’
Derek Stevens, owner and CEO of the three properties, said, “Canadians have always played a meaningful role in downtown Las Vegas, and we’re incredibly appreciative of the loyalty they continue to show our city.”
Statistics Canada data has shown some Canadians have been reducing U.S. travel amid broader trade and political tensions.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has approved nearly $3.5 million to fund a three-year marketing partnership with Reach Global Marketing running July 2026–June 2029 aimed at rebuilding Canada demand.
The authority reported a 7.5% drop in total visitors for 2025 compared to 2024.
