Kaiju Cash
Ainsworth Game Technology
This latest game on Ainsworth’s sleek Raptor cabinet includes a unique cascading bonus feature triggered by one or both collection pots displayed on the screen, and a pick bonus triggered by a volcano in the background, which erupts at random.
The base game is a ways-to-win format on a five-by-four-reel array, resulting in 1,024 ways to win on each spin. “Kaiju Collect” gems landing on the reels travel up to the collection piles atop which sit two dragons. Blue gems trigger the “Ultimate Respin” feature on the bonus, and red gems activate the “Mega Cash” feature.
When one or both piles burst to trigger the bonus, the symbols disappear from the reels, and the dragon in question appears in a three-by-three frame that floats around the screen as credit awards and jackpot icons cascade down. The player is awarded all prizes landing within the frame.
The feature starts with five spins. Periodically, the dragon will inhale several awards and make the frame larger, while adding a random number of spins to the meter. The winning field can grow four times, to potentially fill the entire screen. If the Ultimate Respin feature is active, a row of multipliers appears at the top, multiplying all awards by anywhere from 2X to 8X. The multiplier rises with each of a random number of spins. The Mega Cash feature sends huge clusters of cash and jackpot awards cascading down the screen as the frame moves, resulting in huge pays. If both pots burst to trigger the feature, both bonuses are active.
When the volcano on the screen randomly erupts, it triggers a match-three picking game for a guaranteed award of one of the five jackpots, including the top Grand, resetting at $10,000 or $20,000.
