Bloomberry Resorts Corp. is preparing for a leadership change in its gaming division, with Executive Vice President and Head of Gaming Cyrus Sherafat set to leave on 31 August, 2026.

- Bloomberry’s EVP of gaming, Cyrus Sherafat, to resign in August 2026
- Company continues to develop online platform amid physical resort operations
- No immediate restructuring plans confirmed, role implications remain uncertain
According to Asia Gaming Brief, the company said Sherafat resigned for “personal reasons” and added that no replacement has been named.
Bloomberg’s operator has given no indication of an immediate restructuring.
Strategic Role
Sherafat has been a key executive at Bloomberry since joining in 2014, rising through casino marketing roles before taking the gaming lead in July 2022.
He also oversaw megaFUNalo!, Bloomberry’s online platform, which has been expanding its Philippine-themed game library. It is Philippines first fully transparent live casino studio.
The PAGCOR-licensed setup combined a glass play surface with a floor-to-ceiling LED backdrop and high-definition streaming optimized for mobile, where more than 80% of local play occurs.
Sherafat emphasised the innovation of the platform at the time. He said “the glass-table environment and integrated studio are designed specifically to elevate user trust and deliver an immersive experience that hasn’t been seen in this market before.”
Broader Context
The departure comes as Bloomberry continues to balance its land-based flagship, Solaire Resort & Casino in Parañaque, with a growing digital offer under Philippine gaming regulation.
For 2025, PAGCOR generated PHP53.33 billion (approx US$867.68 million) by the electronic and online segments such as eGames, eBingo and bingo grantees, more than half of gaming takings, cushioning the fall in brick-and-mortar earnings.
PAGCOR-operated casinos generated PHP10.38 billion (US$168.7 million), down 18.12% year-on-year for 2025.
