Rocket Link

This new game was designed specifically for Class II and historical horse racing markets, and will be released later this year in a Class III version. It is the first Class II/HHR game to be featured on Ainsworth’s new A-STAR Raptor cabinet.

The base game is a five-reel, 25-line or 50-line video slot on a four-by-five reel array. The line array changes with the denomination—50 lines at the penny and 2-cent levels and 25 lines at the 5-cent and 10-cent levels. It features two levels of linked progressive jackpots and two static bonus jackpots. The linked progressives scale with the denomination, from $1,000 and $10,000 resets at the penny level to $5,000 and $50,000 at the 10-cent level.

Collecting four scattered rocket symbols on the reels triggers the Rocket Link Feature. It is a hold-and-re-spin feature that begins on the four-by-five array. The rockets are held as cash-on-reels awards—or any of the lower-level jackpots—and the remaining reels spin. If an additional rocket lands within three spins, the reels expand by one row and the spin meter returns to three. The reels can expand to a maximum eight-by-five array.

If rockets occupy all reel spots on the expanded array, it triggers the top progressive jackpot.

There also is a standard free-game feature. Three or more bonus symbols on a payline trigger five free games, and additional free games can be won within the feature.
