Red Hawk Resort & Casino Adds Bingo Hall and Smoke-Free Floor

Red Hawk Resort & Casino in Placerville is moving ahead with a property overhaul that blends expansion with a focus on non-smoking play.

No smoking floor and bingo venue to open at Red Hawk Casino
  • Red Hawk Resort & Casino plans a major overhaul, including a new gaming pavilion and dedicated bingo venue
  • The casino will transition most of its floor to a smoke-free environment, becoming the region’s only non-smoking casino
  • Construction of the bingo room is underway, with plans to debut in September, and the new pavilion set for 2027

The resort said, per Indian Gaming, that it will add a new gaming pavilion, create a dedicated bingo venue and shift most of the casino to a smoke-free environment in the first quarter of next year.

This move would make it the region’s only non-smoking casino.

Healthier Floor, Broader Mix

President and CEO Bryan deLugo said the redesign is intended to improve conditions for both guests and employees.

“One of the most significant outcomes of this project will be Red Hawk Resort & Casino’s transition to a smoke-free property, making Red Hawk the region’s only non-smoking casino,” he said in the announcement.

The pavilion will keep smoking slots and table games in a separate area, while the main floor becomes cleaner and more comfortable.

Bingo and Expansion Plans

The project also adds roughly 4,600 square feet for bingo on the lower level, with room for as many as 400 guests. Red Hawk said the space will support bingo, private events and larger gatherings.

Construction on the bingo room is already underway, with an opening targeted for September, while the gaming pavilion is scheduled to debut in the first quarter of 2027. The company’s existing non-smoking floor already spans an entire level, underscoring how the new plan extends a strategy already in place.

Bingo remains all the rage, with Circus Circus recently announced a 255-seat bingo room with cash prizes up to $1,500
