Powerball Power Play

This new game is one of the launch titles for Dynasty Luna, a new cabinet with a 36-inch square main display and a 49-inch J-shaped monitor positioned above it. In this application, the lower screen houses a five-by-three reel array and the large top monitor displays a lotto-style air chamber.

Powerball Power Play is a 30-line base game with cash-on-reels symbols landing on the first four reels. During the reel-spinning, white lotto balls drop from the lotto chamber to random reel spots to become cash-on-reels symbols, or lower-level jackpots (three static awards and two progressives, resetting at $2,500 and $8,000). If a red Powerball lands on the fifth reel, it awards all cash-on-reels values.

Bonus symbols on the first, third and fifth reels trigger 10 free spins. During the free spins, red Powerball symbols on the fifth reel award all cash symbols on the white lotto balls with a multiplier up to 10X.

Six or more scattered lotto ball symbols trigger the Powerball Power Play Respin feature, a hold-and-spin feature with some unique characteristics. When the feature is triggered, all cash-on-reels symbols lock in place. Red Powerball symbols on the fifth reel award all cash-on-reels values and remain in place. Filling the fifth reel with red Powerballs unlocks a second reel array; filling that fifth reel unlocks a third array.

The feature continues on all three reel arrays, returning the spin meter to three with every cash-on-reels lotto ball that lands. If all nine fifth-reel spots fill with red Powerballs, it triggers the wide-area Grand jackpot, which resets at $100,000.
