PDG Finalises Acquisition of Great Canadian Casino Vancouver
Petroglyph Development Group (PDG) has closed its purchase of Great Canadian Casino Vancouver, extending the Snuneymuxw First Nation’s rapid buildout in British Columbia gaming.

- Petroglyph Development Group completes its largest BC gaming asset acquisition to date
- Deal consolidates PDG’s position as Canada’s leading Indigenous-owned gaming operator
- Long-term partnership with the Snuneymuxw First Nation emphasizes community and economic stewardship
The deal follows PDG’s earlier acquisitions of Casino Nanaimo and Elements Casino Victoria, and gives the Indigenous-owned operator another major Metro Vancouver asset after its Maple Ridge purchase. PDG first made the announcement in December.
A Broader Strategy in B.C.
The transaction deepens a portfolio that PDG says now makes it Canada’s largest Indigenous-owned gaming operator by revenue.
President of PDG, Erralyn Joseph said, “building the Snuneymuxw economic portfolio is grounded in a vision of sustainable, self-determined growth and in the belief that meaningful economic development is built on strong Nation-to-Nation relationships.”
Great Canadian has now completed four transactions with PDG, underscoring a relationship that has moved from initial sale agreements in 2024 to a series of completed closings in 2025 and 2026.
“This transaction is another milestone in our ongoing collaboration with Petroglyph Development Group and the Snuneymuxw First Nation, and we’re grateful for another successful closing,” said Matt Anfinson, Chief Executive Officer of Great Canadian.
“With this representing our fourth completed transaction with PDG, it speaks to the trust and confidence we have built together.
‘Building an Economy That is Ours’
The casino, which includes gaming, dining and live entertainment, will remain an important local venue in Coquitlam, PDG said.
Chief Michael Wyse, Xum’silum, Snuneymuxw First Nation said, “We are building an economy that is ours, one that funds our priorities, honours our responsibilities to neighbouring communities and creates opportunity for our people long into the future.”
The companies said the property operates on Kwikwetlem territory.
