Panama Party
Hard Rock International recently announced its 16th property—the first in Latin America—will open in December in Panama City. The Hard Rock Hotel Panama Megapolis is owned by Megapolis Investment Group and will be managed by Decameron Hotels & Resorts, which oversees 38 properties in 10 nations throughout Central America, the Caribbean, South America and Africa.
The 66-story hotel will offer 1,499 rooms with 796 suites including the Hard Rock signature 2,659-square-foot Rock Star Suites. Guests will enjoy panoramic views of the city and Panama Bay plus the convenience of a bridge to the 200-plus-store Multicentro Mall and the Megapolis Convention Center. Set on nearly one acre, the property will feature an oversized, free-form infinity pool with private cabanas, eight food and beverage outlets, a 7,800-square-foot Rock Spa, the Rock Shop and more than 24,000 square feet of meeting space.
As in other Hard Rock properties, authentic rock memorabilia will be displayed and guests will be able to download music through Hard Rock’s popular amenity, “The Sound of Your Stay.”
“We are proud to debut the Hard Rock Hotel brand in Latin America, a region with a rich musical culture,” said Michael Shindler, international executive vice president of Hard Rock International Hotels & Casinos.
Noted Jacobo Torres, owner of Megapolis Investment Group, “Hard Rock’s blend of luxury and rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle provides an unparalleled guest experience, one that is most welcome in Latin America.”
