Okada Manila Launch ‘New Game’ Zone with 70-Slot Machines
The machines have been supplied by two global manufacturers, AGS and Aruze Gaming Global
Okada Manila has unveiled what it claims to be both the Philippines’ and Asia’s first dedicated “New Game” zone for slot machines.
Launched on Sunday, the gaming area, boasting a 70-slot lineup, is installed at the prominent Pearl Lobby entrance and represents part of Okada’s ongoing efforts to revitalise its electronic gaming offerings.
New Zone Features and Game Selection
Positioned at the entrance to the gaming floor, the new zone consolidates six slot “game families” supplied by two global manufacturers, AGS and Aruze Gaming Global, with each provider contributing 35 machines.
The space has been enhanced with large LED screens projecting immersive visual content designed to elevate the atmosphere and attract player attention.
Okada Manila describes the layout as a convenient way for guests to explore “international slot titles in one accessible location” and to “discover something new” within a more dynamic setting.
Rick Colman, Vice President of Electronic Gaming Operations at Okada Manila, commented, “We want players to be able to say they played it first at Okada Manila.”
‘Important milestone’
The launch was hailed by industry partners as a significant milestone. Deric Goh, Director of Mindslot-e, the exclusive distributor of AGS in Asia, characterised the new zone as “an important milestone in the brand’s development across the region.”
Similarly, Matthew Lai of Aruze Gaming Global called the project “an exciting opportunity to introduce distinctive game titles to a diverse audience of local and international guests.”
On 25 October, Okada Manila hosted an invitation-only event for 70 VIP members of its Reward Circle loyalty programme.
The zone has since opened to all visitors aged 21 and above, with added incentives for Reward Circle members.
Earlier this year, Okada Manila launched the “Okada Online Casino Win Zone”. It debuted at the property’s mass-market gaming area, giving guests a hands-on look at the platform through live-table games, live slots and eGaming demo stations.
