Okada Manila has opened a new on-site marketing zone to push its online casino offering, signaling how Philippine resort operators are trying to connect floor traffic with digital play.
The “Okada Online Casino Win Zone” opened on June 12, according to GGRAsia. It debuted at the property’s mass-market gaming area, giving guests a hands-on look at the platform through live-table games, live slots and eGaming demo stations.
Okada Manila described the venue as a “first-of-its-kind interactive showcase” for online casino gaming in the Philippines.
Land-Based to Digital
The move fits a broader industry shift in which integrated resorts are using their physical casinos as acquisition channels for online customers.
Last month, PhilWeb Corporation partnered with Tiger Resort, Leisure and Entertainment Inc., the operator of Okada Manila, to launch Okada Play. This was a platform that includes content, technology, customer service and marketing support.
President of PhilWeb, Brian Ng said “the official launch of OKADA PLAY demonstrates our capability to execute and deploy end-to-end digital infrastructure for the industry’s most recognized luxury brands.”
“We are proud to provide the robust, scalable platform that enables Tiger Resort (Okada’s operator) to extend the premium Okada Manila experience to a growing nationwide audience of digital players.”
For Okada Manila, the activation also complements a wider effort to widen its reach in both domestic and overseas tourism markets. Their revenue declined in Q1, falling 17.2% year-on-year.
