Incheon Airport’s New 9.81 Park Partnership Aims to Boost Transit Tourism
The development is due to open in Spring 2027
DSM and Paradise City have signed a marketing partnership aimed at tying the soon-to-open 9.81 Park Incheon Airport to the integrated resort on Yeongjong Island, in a move designed to turn the airport corridor into a stronger tourism draw.
According to edaily, the agreement covers joint promotions, bundled offers and shared sales efforts for overseas visitors, group travel and MICE business.
Paradise City says the project sits next to the airport maglev station, giving both sites a direct route for passengers and transit travellers.

The Incheon development is due to open in spring 2027 and will build on the 9.81 Park brand already established in Jeju.
DSM says the new site is being designed around gravity racing, AI-based recording and ranking systems and next-generation racing vehicles.
The company claimed the Jeju park has already drawn more than 3 million visitors since 2020, while the Incheon venue is expected to receive more than 1 million people in its first year.
A DSM official said: “Through this MOU (Memorandum of Understanding), we have been able to establish a new type of tourism experience where visitors can experience dynamic K-leisure content realised with cutting-edge technology at 9.81 Park and enjoy culture, art, relaxation, and entertainment at Paradise City.”
In an earlier airport corporation press release on the 9.81 Park ground-breaking, IIAC president Lee Hak-jae said: “Incheon Airport will transform into a ‘place you want to go’ that goes beyond a simple transportation facility and into a convergence of culture, tourism and business.”
