Grand Korea Leisure’s May Casino Revenue Surges 40.8% Y-O-Y

Grand Korea Leisure said May casino revenue climbed sharply, supported by stronger table-game play and a pickup in machine gaming, according to the Korea Exchange.
The South Korean operator booked KRW43.13 billion, or about $28 million, for the month, up 40.8% from a year earlier and 7.3% from April.
April’s numbers sat at KRW40.2 billion (US$27 million).
Table Games Lead the Rebound
Table games generated KRW38.84 billion, accounting for most of the gain, while machine games contributed KRW4.29 billion. This was down 35.5% from April and 21.% year-on-year
GKL operates three foreigner-only casinos under the Seven Luck brand.
First-Five-Month Momentum
For January through May, GKL said casino sales reached KRW189.97 billion, an 8.5% increase from the same period a year earlier.
GKL has regained momentum as visitation and table drop improve.
