The Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers or AGEM is a powerful force in the gaming industry. It brings together fierce competitors under the umbrella of mutual concerns and represents them forcefully on any issues that confront them. Daron Dorsey was named executive director in 2022 and elevated the president and CEO in 2023. His experience in the gaming industry includes a long stretch with the law firm Snell and Wilmer, general counsel for William Hill and senior vice president and general counsel for Ainsworth Game Technology. In the past few years, the organization has expanded its membership to include suppliers in the online gaming and sports betting segments of the business. He spoke with iGB’s U.S. News Editor Jess Marquez at G2E in Las Vegas in October.
