Churchill Downs Incorporated Sets Opening Date for Kentucky Venue

Churchill Downs Incorporated has announced its latest gaming entertainment venue in Kentucky will officially open on February 25.

Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming, CDI’s eighth site in Kentucky, is located in Calvert City. It cost approximately $40 million to construct.

The venue will feature over 225 historical racing machine games, as well as simulcast and sports wagering. Other amenities include food and beverage offerings such as Wet Your Whistle and a sports bar.

Players can sign up for FastTrack, CDI’s premier Players Club at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel. This will allow them to begin earning rewards ahead of the February opening.

‘Full Steam Ahead’ for CDI in Kentucky

Dave McDade, assistant general manager of Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming, was optimistic about the opening. He said it will offer an all-new experience to Kentucky players.

“We’ll kick things off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, entertainment and plenty of giveaways to get the celebration rolling,” he said.

“From the first whistle to the final stop of the night, we want guests to jump on board, feel the excitement and enjoy a brand-new destination built for nonstop fun.”
