Angel Group Expands Smart Table Platform to Cover Nearly Entire Casino Floor
Angel Group is pushing its smart table system well beyond baccarat after showing roulette and blackjack applications at G2E Asia in Macau.

- Angel Group extends its smart table system beyond baccarat to include roulette and blackjack applications
- Targeting up to 95% casino floor coverage with RFID and AI integration
- Faster game management and new facial recognition tools signal a disruptive shift in casino operations
Bryan Jenkins, managing director of Angel Australasia, said the company now believes it can cover about 90% of a casino floor per Inside Asian Gaming, This is with a full 95% target still possible as the platform is adapted to more variants and side bets.
From Baccarat to Broader Coverage
The expansion builds on a baccarat system already deployed at major operators including Las Vegas Sands properties in Macau and Singapore, Solaire in the Philippines and SkyCity in New Zealand.
Angel said the same underlying stack of RFID and camera-based AI can be reconfigured for blackjack and poker derivatives, while roulette adds another layer of complexity through chip attribution and bet-type recognition.
A Faster Rollout Cycle
On roulette, Angel uses RFID beneath the felt and video-assisted AI to identify winning numbers and calculate payouts, potentially saving up to two minutes per busy hand. Blackjack relies on camera tracking of cards, bets and hand movements.
Jenkins said, “Once you get the technology basis right, you can move that over to other games as well.”
Angel is also testing a facial recognition-based Bet Attribution tool already approved in Singapore and New Zealand. Consultant Laurent Fresnel, a former Star Entertainment technology chief, called the shift an inflection point for the sector as operators move faster on AI-led table management.
Angel is not the only company looking to advance their casino system offerings. INSPIRE Entertainment recently extended its casino technology stack with IDX Games’ X-Trend platform and display systems. The property looks to increase installation coverage by 30% through this new technology.
