In recognition of March as Problem Gambling Awareness Month, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) introduced a new responsible gaming website that will promote resources to help people with gambling problems.
As part of an effort to raise awareness of problem and compulsive gambling and provide professionals and individuals with information, the PGCB’s updated, user-friendly website provides information on how to recognize the warning signs of a gambling problem, and where to find treatment options in Pennsylvania.
The website address is responsibleplay.pa.gov. It also can be accessed via a link on the homepage of the PGCB’s website, gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov. Information on problem gambling treatment and other resources also is available by calling 1-800-GAMBLER.
During Problem Gambling Awareness Month, staff with the PGCB’s Office of Compulsive and Problem Gambling along with their partners, the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, the Pennsylvania Lottery and the Council on Compulsive and Problem Gambling, were available at events in Harrisburg, Trevose and Pittsburgh.
