YOHO Group Transforms Greek Mythology Casino Site Into Hotel Complex
YOHO Group is converting the shuttered Greek Mythology Casino site in Taipa into a Macau-focused dining hub as part of a wider hotel redevelopment.

Key Takeaways:
- Yoho Group plans a $3.7 million food court at the historic Greek Mythology Casino site
- The project includes two hotels with nearly 940 rooms, scheduled to open in 2026
- Priority will be given to Macau residents, entrepreneurs, and local SMEs in stall allocations
YOHO will invest at least MOP30 million (about $3.71 million) to build a 17-stall food court with roughly 260 indoor and 50 outdoor seats inside the redeveloped property now branded YOHO Gold Coast Hotel.
YOHO stated, “This site was once a landmark in Macau’s illustrious history of gaming and tourism”. The group will not reopen the site as a casino.
Trial operations are scheduled for the third quarter of 2026 and the integrated scheme will include two hotels totalling about 940 rooms, positioned next to Melco’s Altira.
The relaunch follows work that began in 2025 after a long closure and prior rebrandings; government licensing and developer filings indicate a staged reopening through 2026. The property originally opened in 1992, later operated as the Beijing Imperial Palace Hotel before operations ceased in 2016 amid disputes.
YOHO already operates multiple hospitality assets in Macau, including the Treasure Island Resorts World Hotel.
