Woh Hup Becomes Main Contractor For Las Vegas Sands’ Marina Bay Expansion
Woh Hup has been chosen as the principal contractor for Las Vegas Sands’ new US$8 billion Marina Bay Sands expansion, a development the casino operator says will open in 2030.

According to The Straits Times, the campus will include a 55-storey hotel tower with 570 suites, a casino, a 15,000-seat arena, about 200,000 sq ft of meetings and conventions space and multiple high-end restaurants.
The project is designed by Safdie Architects and features a signature roofline with panoramic city views.
The appointment followed a competitive tender process, Las Vegas Sands said, citing Woh Hup’s engineering depth and track record on complex builds.

LVS Chairman and CEO Patrick Dumont said “Woh Hup has played a defining role in shaping Singapore’s development and we are pleased to work with a local company that has contributed to many of the nation’s iconic landmarks”, per Inside Asian Gaming.
Woh Hup’s portfolio includes major airport and infrastructure contracts.
Las Vegas Sands highlighted the economic footprint of its existing Marina Bay integrated resort, noting commissioned estimates of substantial business spending and local procurement.
The company added that construction has already begun and that some workers are “working 24/7 on site”, according to its March 20 statement.
Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has described the development as part of a wider Greater Southern Waterfront transformation over the next decades.
