UK’s Bingo Association Appoints New CEO
The UK Bingo Association, National Bingo Game Association and supplier group Meeron have announced the appointment of Nicole Garrett as their new CEO.
Garrett is set to take on her new role in spring of this year. She will replace Miles Baron, who is due to step down as CEO at the end of June.
Garrett will join from Allwyn Group, operator of the UK National Lottery, where she works as group head of responsible gaming. In this position, she oversees a range of international initiatives focused on safer play.
Her previous roles included head of corporate affairs at bet365 and head of policy at the UK’s Betting and Gaming Council.
Bingo ‘Unique’ to Local Communities
Garrett said she was “thrilled” with her appointment, adding now is an “important” time for the UK bingo industry.
“Bingo plays a unique and valued role within local communities,” Garrett said. “I am very much looking forward to working closely with members and stakeholders to support the sector and help shape its future.”
In a joint statement, the chairmen of the three organisations said they were “delighted” with the addition.
“Nicole brings an exceptional breadth of experience from across the wider gaming sector, with a strong track record in policy development, regulatory engagement, and responsible gaming,” they said.
“We are confident she will provide outstanding leadership as the bingo industry navigates an evolving regulatory and commercial landscape.”
