Tulalip Resort Casino Completes Major Three-Year Expansion

The project began in January 2024 and has incorporated a new bar-top play space in the heart of the gaming floor

Tulalip Resort Casino has finished a three-year expansion and renovation that adds 70,250 square feet to the Washington property, lifts its gaming floor to 270,250 square feet and pushes the slot count past 2,600.

The project, which began in January 2024 after being announced in November 2023, also introduced a redesigned north addition, upgraded dining spaces and refreshed bars.

Bigger Floor, Sharper Positioning

According to local reporting, the most visible change is the new Center Bar, a 38-foot structure at the heart of the gaming floor that includes bar-top play and seating for up to 60 guests.

Tulalip said the design draws on Pacific Northwest colors and Salish Sea imagery, while entrances now feature timber arches and tribal spindle whorls. The resort also added a 4,000-square-foot high-limit slots room and Salish Sweets, a local ice cream concept.

Transformative New Chapter

Marci Fryberg, president and chief operating officer of the Tulalip Gaming Organization, said, “This is a transformative new chapter for Tulalip Resort Casino.”

Fryberg added that the resort had been “deeply gratified by our guests’ positive response throughout the three-year journey.”

Just this week, Maverick Gaming announced it would be attempting to buy back eight of its Washington properties marked up for closure.

The casinos involved are Great American Casino in Everett, Chip’s Casino, Macau Casino and Palace Casino in Lakewood, All Star Casino in Silverdale, Casino Caribbean in Yakima, Crazy Moose Casino in Pasco and Coyote Bobs Casino in Kennewick.
