Tax1099

Casinos file enormous volumes of W-2G, 1099, and 1042-S forms every season, each carrying sensitive information about player, contractor or vendor data that must move accurately from the casino management systems to the information reporting platforms.

That is rarely simple. Every property exports its data in a different format and files on its own terms, and legacy providers built around a rigid import template push the reconciliation burden back onto casino teams, pulling senior staff off core work all season.

Tax1099, a purpose-built W-2G, 1099 and 1042-S reporting solution for casinos, is designed to close that gap. The platform accepts data by bulk upload or API with no file-size limits, and a structured, flexible template standardizes reconciliation across properties regardless of volume and removes the manual verification work that formerly ate into entire filing seasons.

The timing matters: IRS will retire the FIRE system on December 31, 2026, and every W-2G filing after that has to be transmitted via IRIS. Many providers built around legacy processes don’t yet support IRIS or offer it only as a paid managed-service upgrade.

Tax1099, on the other hand, has supported IRIS since the IRS launched it, so casino operators using Tax1099 are already positioned to stay IRIS-compliant.

With Tax1099, every property can file from one master account, with filing statuses (such as accepted, rejected, and pending) consolidated into a single real-time view across the portfolio. Guests can securely access their own W-2G copies from a self-service portal while casino staff can generate a Taxable Gambling Winnings Summary in just a few steps. For tribal gaming enterprises, contracts can be structured under tribal law.

Tax1099 works with casinos and gaming operators across the industry, including Live! Casino Maryland, Grand Mille, Gila River, and many others.
