This new game series, with base games River Gold Mississippi and River Gold Hudson, offers a riverboat-themed game featured on the Concept Prime-J cabinet.
The base game is a five-reel, 25-line or 50-line (depending on denomination) video slot. Randomly during the primary game, a “Wild Rain” symbol appears, to rain wild symbols on the reel array. Cash-on-reels symbols can fly up to the central riverboat depicted on the screen, to be banked toward triggering a main hold-and-spin event.
That feature, branded “Bonus Link” by Zitro, is triggered by six cash-on-reels coins, the values of which combine and lock in place as a single coin symbol to start the three-spin cycle of the feature.
The Bonus Link hold-and-spin feature takes place on a six-by-five reel array, beginning as a three-by-five array with three additional rows locked behind strings of incandescent lights. Landing a lasso symbol in the feature unlocks an additional row in the array.
Coins and jackpot symbols are included in the hold-and-spin event. There are random “Xtra Spin” symbols that can land to extend the feature.
Landing a wheel symbol in the Bonus Link feature activates one of five enhancements: “Increase” boosts the value of all cash-on-reels coins on the screen. “Enigma” randomly increases the value of one symbol. “Multiplier” sends multipliers to a random number of coins. “Rise” boosts coin values with each spin. “Collect” awards the values of all coins instantly.
Unlocking the top row of symbols during the feature triggers the “River Bonus.” This is a second-screen event in which a river barge goes across the screen dumping piles of coins for credit awards—plus the occasional jackpot coin to trigger one of the game’s four jackpots. According to the manufacturer, triggering this feature guarantees at least one of the four jackpots, including the top Mega, resetting at $5,000, $10,000 or $20,000, depending on the denomination.
There also is a free-spin bonus triggered by three or more scatter symbols, starting with eight free games with the potential to add spins during the feature. During the free spins on the Mississippi base game, two or more doors appear on every free spin to reveal symbols that can multiply winnings. In the Hudson River version, the Wild Rain feature adds wild symbols on every free spin. The hold-and-spin feature can be triggered on a free game.
