Palasino to host grand opening of new Czechia casino

Hong Kong-listed Palasino Holdings plans to hold a grand opening for its newest casino in Czechia early this year after a soft launch in late December.

The Palasino Mikulov property near the border with neighboring Austria features 106 slot machines and 10 gaming tables. Suppliers at the venue reportedly include Novomatic, IGT, APEX, Euro Games Technology and SYNOT.

There is also a bar, lounge areas and a restaurant, while a loyalty program has already been established.

The date of the full opening has not been confirmed, but Palasino said that it would take place after the festive “high season,” with the soft launch having taken place a week before Christmas.

European expansion for Palasino

The new casino is Palasino’s fourth in the country, representing a further expansion into Central and Eastern Europe. The group already operates three casinos in Czechia, as well as three hotels in Germany and one hotel in Austria.

“We are confident this vibrant and strategically located property will bring fresh energy and exceptional service to our community and international guests alike,” Palasino CEO Pavel Maršík said.

Palasino previously noted that Mikulov is a “popular destination for both local and international visitors.” Colin Chapman Stewart, Palasino’s chief operating officer, added: “The launch of Palasino Mikulov is a significant step in our growth strategy. By introducing the Palasino brand and our expertise in gaming and hospitality to this area, we are tapping into new customer segments and contributing to the local economy.”
