MGM Grand Completes $300 Million Rooms and Suites Remodel
The MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada has completed a $300 million remodel of almost 4,000 rooms and suites inside its main tower.
MGM Resorts Design & Development partnered with global architecture company Gensler on the project. Guests are now able to book the remodeled accommodations.
Changes include new-look bathrooms complete with walk-in showers, integrated closets and enhanced blackout drapery. All rooms also feature wall-mounted smart TVs, while minibar units have been upgraded.
The project also included the addition of 111 new suites to the hotel, increasing the total to 753. Suites range in size, from 675 square feet up to 1,784 square feet.
‘Ambitious’ Step for MGM Grand
MGM Grand President and Chief Operating Officer Mike Neubecker talked up the project. He said it adds more value to what is already an “iconic” venue on the Las Vegas Strip.
“MGM Grand has long stood out as one of the most iconic resorts on The Strip, and this remodel marks an ambitious step forward in the resort’s evolution,” Neubecker said.
“Inspired by guests’ feedback, we’ve designed rooms that deliver what both business and leisure travelers value most, providing a thoughtful balance of style, comfort and functionality.”
The remodel is the latest development at MGM Grand. In recent weeks and months, the venue has also added a new dining venue inspired by hit Netflix shows, a day club and the ‘Friends Experience’, an attraction based on iconic television series, Friends.
