Merkur Dosniha Details New Management Structure
Merkur Dosniha, part of the Guaselmann Group, has announced details of several changes to its senior management team, with founder and CEO Carlos Chacón set to leave the business.
Chacón will officially step down from his leadership role on February 1 after 34 years at the helm. He will be succeeded by chief operating officer Lara Knuchel and chief financial officer Juanjo Mayol.
Knuchel and Mayol will assume joint responsibility for the operational management of the Merkur Group’s Spanish subsidiary. Meanwhile, Sascha Blodau will take over Chacón’s seat on the board.
Blodau’s responsibilities as general manager UK of the Merkur Group will be unaffected.
Management Trio Backed to Drive Growth at Merkur Dosniha
“I look at this new chapter in my life with mixed feelings,” said Chacón of his upcoming exit. “What I can say with certainty is that the company is in excellent hands with Lara, Juanjo and Sascha. I am convinced that Merkur Dosniha will continue on its successful path.”
Dominik Raasch, management board member for Merkur Games at Merkur.com AG, paid tribute to the outgoing Chacón.
