Meridianbet to Power Rival Fair Bet’s Sportsbook in Malta
Meridianbet has expanded its B2B footprint in Malta after securing a multi-year licensing agreement with retail gaming operator Fair Bet.
Under the deal, the Golden Matrix Group subsidiary will supply its sports betting platform, backend infrastructure, risk management systems and operational support to Fair Bet’s retail sportsbook network across the country.
The agreement strengthens Meridianbet’s position in a market with just three licensed operators. The company already operates its own retail outlets and has an established online presence in Malta. By powering Fair Bet’s retail network, Meridianbet now provides technology to two of the country’s three licensed retail operators.
“In a three-operator market with high regulatory barriers, we’ve secured a unique position by operating our own retail and online channels while also supporting two-thirds of the retail sector through our technology,” said Zoran Milosevic, chief executive of Meridianbet Group. “This demonstrates our platform’s strength and our ability to capture value across direct operations and B2B licensing in concentrated, high-barrier markets.”
Meridianbet currently operates in 18 jurisdictions across Europe, Africa and South America. Fair Bet offers sports betting and video lottery games at nine locations across Malta and Gozo.
