Hard Rock Sets November 13 Opening for Tejon Casino
Hard Rock International and the Tejon Indian Tribe have announced that the new Hard Rock Casino Tejon venue will officially open on November 13.
Located near Bakersfield on Tejon Indian Tribal land, the property will be the first of its kind in Kern County, California. The Tejon Indian Tribe will own the new venue, with Hard Rock responsible for managing the property.
Once it is open, guests will have access to a 150,000-square-foot gaming floor. This will feature more than 2,000 slot machines, over 50 live table games, and VIP rooms for blackjack and baccarat.
Other on-site amenities will include several dining options, such as a Hard Rock Café location. The property will also include a Rock Shop offering exclusive Hard Rock merchandise.
Hard Rock and the Tejon Indian Tribe said that the privately funded project will create 1,000 permanent roles upon opening. It also generated thousands of construction jobs throughout the build.
Hard Rock Casino Tejon to ‘Set New Standard’
Jim Allen, chairman of Hard Rock International and CEO of Seminole Gaming, said the venue will “set a new standard” for entertainment in the local region.
“We are incredibly proud to bring our iconic brand to Kern County and are thankful for our partnership with the Tejon Indian Tribe,” Allen said. “Hard Rock Casino Tejon will set a new standard for entertainment in the region. It blends our world-class hospitality with the tribe’s inspiring vision for cultural and economic growth.”
Octavio Escobedo III, chairman of the Tejon Tribe, spoke about the positive impact the site will have on the region.
“This project will bring thousands of jobs, fuel economic growth and serve as a gathering place where culture, entertainment and community come together,” he said. “We are proud to share this milestone with our friends, neighbors and partners who helped make this vision a reality.”
