Great Africa

This is a new game in Konami’s “Xtra Reward” series. This series of video slots offers an extra bet option to games on Konami’s K2V video platform, with the ante activating any number of special bonus features.

The base game is available in 20-line or 30-line configurations, with an African jungle theme communicated in sharp graphics and animation. The “Red Diamond” symbol is wild, substituting for all but bonus triggers.

To activate the Xtra Reward bonus feature, the player must wager at least one credit per line, plus a one-credit, per-line ante wager. When the Xtra Reward bet is made, it activates a special random on-screen bonus – when the Xtra Reward symbol lands on the fifth reel, all symbols on the reel become wild.

There also is a free-spin bonus event. Three or more mask symbols launch a random number of free spins, which can rise with retriggers up to a maximum of 120 free spins.

Randomly during the free spins, the Red Diamond wild symbol will land in a winning combination. When one or more wild symbols land in a win, the jackpot for that win is multiplied by 10.

The game is available in single or multi-denomination setups, with denominations ranging from pennies all the way through $5.

Because it is a K2V game, Great Africa is also eligible for the addition of one of Konami’s mystery progressive jackpot features. The controller for these features is already written onto the game chip, so no external hardware is required for one of the mystery jackpots to be added.
