GLPI Issues Update on Casino Development Projects

GLPI Casino

Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. (GLPI) has published a progress update on several major development projects taking place across the US.

The update refers to five projects and four operating partners. GLPI said the developments amount to approximately $1.5 billion of capital commitments.

First, Caesars Republic Sonoma County in California remains on track for completion in the summer of 2027. Caesars and Dry Creek Rancheria broke ground on the venue, located at the heart of Sonoma wine country, in August 2025.

Next, GLPI said work remains ongoing at Bally’s Chicago, with the exterior shell rising by an average of two floors per week. Once complete, the venue will feature a 178,000sq ft casino with over 3,300 slots and 170 table games, a luxury hotel, event space, and several nightlife attractions.

GLPI Praises Progress as New Venues Open

Also under the Bally’s brand is Bally’s Baton Rouge, located at the site of the former Belle of Baton Rouge. The new venue hosted its grand opening on December 6, with visitors having access to a 25,000sq ft casino, sportsbook, hotel and food and beverage options.

Elsewhere, another new facility to open its doors was the second hotel tower at M Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. The upgrade, which also included new conference space, came ahead of schedule for GLPI.

Finally, GLPI said a new casino development in Sacramento, California, remains on track. The Acorn Ridge venue is set to open its doors in February 2026.
