Cirsa Group Completes Acquisition of Four Dreams Casinos in Peru
Cirsa Group has expanded its presence in Peru through the completion of its deal to acquire four casinos from the Dreams gaming group.
The deal — first announced in September and finalized on December 18 — was carried out through Cirsa’s subsidiary Gaming and Services S.A.C. Cirsa said the acquisition will be financed with available cash and is not expected to have a significant impact on its leverage.
The Spanish casino group has acquired three Dreams properties in the capital city of Lima — Casino New York, Casino Luxor, and Casino Pachanga — and a fourth casino in Cuzco, Casino Mystic. Located close to Jorge Chavez International Airport, Casino New York offers 500 slot and video gaming machines and 13 live table games.
The acquisition of the four Dreams casinos follows Cirsa’s purchase last year of Apuesta Total, the country’s leading sports betting and online gaming company. Cirsa has been active in Peru since 1996.
In a statement, Cirsa said: “The transaction is aligned with our strategic focus on selective growth in fully regulated key markets.”
Cirsa operates over 400 facilities worldwide, attracting over 50 million visitors each year. It has a presence in numerous Latin American countries, including Mexico and Colombia, as well as Spain, Italy, Portugal and Morocco.
