Tribal-run Casino Del Sol has secured the naming rights to Arizona Stadium, a local outdoor sports stadium located on the campus of the University of Arizona.

Under the 20-year agreement, the venue will be known as Casino Del Sol Stadium. Valued at $60 million, it is the largest agreement of its kind in Big 12 Conference history.

Alongside naming rights, the casino will receive exterior and interior branding, field logos and digital platforms. This is in addition to integration into national television broadcasts.

Casino Del Sol will also join Arizona Athletics’ top tier of corporate and community investors as a ‘Pillar Partner’. This will grant the property category exclusivity in casino, gaming and resorts, beginning in the next fiscal year.

University of Arizona Strengthens Tribal Ties

Located in Tucson, Arizona, Casino Del Sol is owned and operated by the Pascua Yaqui Tribe. It houses a casino with a range of slots and table games, in addition to a hotel, several dining venues, shops and a spa.

“This partnership gives us the opportunity to share our story on one of the biggest stages in college athletics,” said Amanda Sampson Lomayesva, CEO of Casino Del Sol. “From the heart of Tucson to fans across the country, Casino Del Sol is proud to stand with the University of Arizona in celebrating community, culture, and the Wildcat spirit that unites Southern Arizona.”

Suresh Garimella, president of the University of Arizona, added: “By naming one of our campus landmarks for Casino Del Sol, we are telling that audience how proud we are to partner with the Pascua Yaqui Tribe.

“Our land-grant mission calls us to engage with our community. This collaboration is an innovative expression of that imperative. I’m proud of our shared purpose to expand opportunity, strengthen belonging, and build a stronger future for our region, and I look forward to what we’ll accomplish together.”
