This game, featured on the new Baron Portrait cabinet, is a follow-up to the hit game Buffalo Ultimate Stampede. The central feature of that game, in addition to the classic Buffalo features, was a meter above the reels on which letters landing on the reels filled the word “BONUS” to trigger the Stampede Bonus.

This new version adds two meters, with letters of different colors collected to fill not only “BONUS,” but “SUPER” and “MEGA,” each of which triggers higher levels of the central bonus.

The base game is a five-reel, 1,024-ways-to-win format (a four-by-five reel set). There are four bonus features. In the Stampede Bonus, players collect cash-on-reels prizes through Aristocrat’s trademark Hold & Spin feature, with the chance to unlock more rows and the Super or Mega feature levels.

In the Super feature level, filling the Super Meter triggers a vertical Buffalo stampede onscreen that adds cash-on-reels prizes to the winnings. In the Mega feature level, filling the Mega Meter triggers a horizontal Buffalo stampede onscreen and adds multipliers onto existing cash-on-reels prizes.

A secondary progressive resetting at $500 can be won through the Hold & Spin bonus. The top jackpot, a progressive resetting at $12,500, is triggered by filling all reel spots with cash-on-reels symbols.

In the Gold Buffalo Reel, players who land the new Gold Buffalo on any of the reels get a chance to spin for a large credit prize.
