Bear River Casino Resort Opens New Gaming Area
California’s Bear River Casino Resort has announced the opening of a new gaming area with a mixture of slot machines and table games.
The new facility will replace the venue’s former gift shop, according to the Eureka Times Standard. It will feature approximately 20 slot machines and a blackjack table.
Slot machines will offer a range of games to visitors. Meanwhile, the blackjack table will be open every Friday and Saturday night, with a minimum bet of $3.
“Three-dollar blackjack has been brought back for those with a little tighter budget, and we wanted to include them in all our fun here at Bear River Casino Resort,” Bear River Casino Resort General Manager John McGinnis said.
Bear River Casino Resort Targets Younger Generation
Bear River Casino Resort is owned and run by the Bear River Band of Rohnerville Rancheria. Previously, its gaming offerings were located at the Bear River Pump and Pay fuel station and mini mart.
Bear River Band of Rohnerville Rancheria’s economic development director, Dakota McGinnis, said shifting this inside the venue would help to attract more younger players seeking an “entertainment destination.”
“We want to appeal to the younger generation, to a younger crowd, and give them an opportunity for some good, safe, clean fun,” he said. “This will give them the feel of going to an entertainment destination and being a part of it, just on the outskirts of it.”
Bear River Casino Resort is located in the northern, coastal region of Humboldt, California.
