AGEM September 2025 Recap

• The AGEM monthly meeting covered several key updates, including trade policy developments related to the USMCA agreement and cross-border tariffs between the U.S. and Canada. The group discussed upcoming changes to IRS lockup limits affecting casino operations, with AGEM planning to work with the AGA to provide guidance to operators. AGEM will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates to members as the situation develops.

• At the September meeting, G2E Event Vice President Korbi Carrison provided AGEM members with some important updates in the run-up to the show. She noted that registration for G2E is ahead of last year’s pace, with double-digit percentage increases attributed to industry buzz about new products and innovations. International attendance is also trending strongly, including significant representation from Canada. The main stage content for all three days was also outlined, including keynotes on Monday and Tuesday, and a new partnership with Global Gaming Women for Wednesday’s focus on mental health. Carrison also shared some new features for the show located in Hall D, called The Strip, which will include the G2E Networking Lounge, the IGA Tribal Gaming Lounge, a Podcast Area and the G2E Dealer Championship. This will provide a visually different look in the expo hall and aims to provide a focal point that will benefit the whole show.

• The recent third Global Gaming Suppliers Seminar 2025 hosted by Vixio Regulatory Intelligence, titled “Opportunities and Obstacles for Global Gaming Suppliers,” took place at the end of August at the Black Fire Innovation Lab at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. This successful event was well attended by AGEM members and featured panels on AI and global expansion in emerging markets.
