Accel Entertainment Names Summerer as New CFO
Locals-focused gaming operator Accel Entertainment has announced the appointment of Brett Summerer as its new chief financial officer.
Summerer will report directly to Andy Rubenstein, CEO of Accel. He replaces Mark Phelan, who served as acting CFO in addition to his ongoing role as president of U.S. gaming
As CFO, Summerer will now oversee all financial aspects of the business. He will also take a prominent role in strategic planning, business development and mergers and acquisitions.
Summerer brings more than 25 years of experience to the operator, having worked in senior finance, operations and IT roles. He previously spent time with Kraft Heinz, Corning, General Motors and Verano Holdings.

Summerer said he was “excited” to be taking on the new role at Accel, describing it as a compelling opportunity.
