Novomatic CEO Resigns

Novomatic CEO Resigns

Novomatic CEO Harald Neumann announced his resignation last month for family reasons, effective immediately. Neumann had served as Novomatic’s leader for the past six years, and led the impressive growth of the European manufacturing giant. He was appointed CEO in October 2014 after serving as the leader of Novomatic subsidiary Austrian Gaming

Industries.

Although he’s leaving immediately, Neumann will remain on the company’s advisory board and consult on its planned international expansion.

There was no announcement about his successor, and reports quickly surfaced that he may not be replaced, but have his duties assumed by current COO Ryszard Presch and CFO Johannes Gratzl.

Novomatic recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, with more than 255,000 gaming and video lottery terminals in operation around the world. The company employs in excess of 30,000 people and has sales totaling approximately €2.6 billion.
