Industry Visionary Todd Nisbet Dies Suddenly

Todd Nisbet, the veteran casino executive and visionary who played key roles in the development of Wynn Resorts, Melco and Crown Resorts, died suddenly at the age of 57.

One of the founding members of Wynn Resorts, the former executive of the Marnell Corrao architecture group served as executive vice president and project director for Wynn Design and Development. Nisbet was instrumental in Wynn’s projects in Las Vegas and Macau, and is credited with setting a new standard for luxury casino resorts.

In 2007, Nisbet joined Crown Resorts as executive vice president of strategy and development, having been recommended to then-Crown chief James Packer by Steve Wynn as someone who could make a difference in helping enter the lucrative Macau casino market. He was subsequently appointed in 2009 to the board of Melco-Crown Entertainment, the joint venture between Packer’s Crown and Lawrence Ho’s Melco International, and helped shape the company’s development during its formative years.

Nisbet most recently was working on several new developments for property investment entity NPACT, which he co-founded with Packer.
