Dragon Train

Light & Wonder has launched the U.S. version of a game family that has been wildly popular in Australia, Dragon Train. The series consists of four inaugural games, all presented on the sleek Kascada Dual Screen premium cabinet. The titles are Dragon Train Khutulun Battle Princess, Dragon Train Forever Emperor, Dragon Train Chi Lin Wins and Dragon Train Sun Shots.

Each base game is a five-reel, 243-ways-to-win game on a five-by-three reel array, with a common hold-and-re-spin feature and free games. In addition to the standard low denominations, the game is offered in $1 and $2 versions.

The hold-and-re-spin feature actually encompasses two separate features based on the popular game mechanic. Six or more orbs displaying credit amounts and/or Dragon Train symbols trigger the hold-and-re-spin feature. The player is awarded three re-spins with the orbs (the Dragon Train symbol is held as an orb as well) locked in place. If another orb lands within those spins, the re-spin meter returns to three. The lowest jackpot, a stand-alone progressive resetting at $500, also is available during this feature.

The feature continues until three re-spins occur with no additional orbs, awarding the accumulated cash values of the orbs or until all 15 reel spots contain orbs, which triggers the top jackpot, a near-area progressive resetting at $10,000 or $100,000, configurable by the operator.

Dragon TrainOne of the orbs that can land in the feature is labeled as a “Dragon Train Orb.” If that symbol is held in the field at the end of the main hold-and-re-spin feature, a separate hold-and-re-spin feature is triggered. The Dragon Train Feature displays eight symbols in a circle for a new three-spin cycle of re-spins. The re-spins reveal either credit awards or fireballs. If all eight fireballs land during the feature, it triggers the Fortune 8 progressive jackpot, a near-area progressive resetting at $1,000.

Three or more scattered bonus symbols trigger six free games. The free games feature clustered orb symbols. Khutulun Battle Princess and Forever Emperor feature clustered trigger symbols and nudging wilds in free games. Chi Lin Wins and Sun Shots feature sticky reels that last for the duration of the free games.
