Spielo’s latest Asian-themed video slot plays up luck symbols in a game with some unique features and graphics telling the story of the warrior Zheng He.
In particular, the game concentrates on the number 8, which is considered lucky in China and other parts of Asia. For starters, there are 88 paylines in the base game. And, the number 8 crops up in bonus images and in the free-game bonus round.
The coin symbol is wild in the base game, substituting for all but the bonus trigger symbol. Randomly, the wild symbols will stack on one or more of the five reels. The base-game screen is a five-by-four configuration (four symbols per reel instead of the standard three).
When three map symbols appear scattered on the middle reels, the player is given the option to choose one of two bonus events—the “Cup Feature” or the free-game feature. In the Cup Feature, the player chooses from three tea cups, lined up top-down in a shell-style game. The goal is to find the cup hiding the golden ball. It is an all-or-nothing feature, with an equally weighted, one-in-three chance of winning an amount that is triple the ordinary bonus win.
The free games feature offers a choice of volatility—10, 15 or 20 free games, with wins multiplied by one to eight times (8X applies to the 10 bonus spins).
And the top line jackpot? You guessed it—888 credits times the line bet.
