Holland Casino Reappoints Bergervoet as CFO

Holland Casino has announced that Ruud Bergervoet has been reappointed as its Chief Financial Officer and will remain in the role past the traditional two terms.

Bergervoet became CFO of the land-based casino operator in March 2017. Holland Casino has in place a policy whereby someone cannot serve for more than two terms of four years.

However, Holland Casino said in a statement that Bergervoet will remain CFO due to “special circumstances” with the company. His nomination was confirmed at a shareholders meeting earlier in April.

“I’m very pleased that Ruud is prepared to stay with us,” Holland Casino CEO Petra de Ruiter said. “With his experience and knowledge of the company, he is indispensable at this time.

“We have to work very hard in the coming years to keep Holland Casino financially healthy. And I am certain that this is in good hands with Ruud.”

Bergervoet: ‘Financially Responsible’ for Holland Casino

Bergervoet is an experienced executive, having served in senior finance-based roles with several other companies.

Previously in his career, he worked as the CFO for Baarsma Wine Group, Sdu Uitgevers, FD Mediagroep, Data Distilleries and BT Syntegra. By remaining in the role at Holland Casino, the group said he will remain “financially responsible” for the business for another two years.
