Unity Partners With SHFL, Bally

Unity Technologies announced multi-year strategic partnerships with table-game supplier SHFL entertainment and slot and system manufacturer Bally Technologies, under which both suppliers will utilize the Unity multi-platform engine and development tools.

The Unity engine is used by slot-makers and online casinos to create interactive gambling content. It is one of the most widely adopted middleware solutions for development in the gambling industry.

“Technology is at the heart of all we do, and SHFL entertainment is incredibly excited to begin our work and collaboration with Unity Technologies,” said a SHFL spokesman in a joint press release on that partnership. “We believe that product innovation, superior quality and service makes gaming more fun for players and more profitable for operators. Our new work with the Unity engine will help us deliver this value even further.”

In the announcement of the Bally partnership, sources from both Bally and Unity were quoted as saying, “By combining the power of the Unity engine with the breadth and depth of Bally Technologies’ offerings, Bally will be able to build the most innovative electronic gaming offerings on the market. Unity is an excellent solution for gambling companies (land-based, online and mobile) looking to work with development houses already familiar with the powerful, deep, and efficient development tools.”
