Twilight Zone 3D

This game carries the theme of the legendary 1960s sci-fi series The Twilight Zone, featuring bonuses based on some of the most iconic scenes and stories from the series—complete with a spot-on impersonation of the late Rod Serling as the host.

The game is in IGT’s “Center Stage Duo” setup of two machines linked to a single bonus event, played out on a bonus apparatus made up of three mechanical wheels, plus a large video monitor. Custom light sequences and colors specific to various themes from the show mix with the “MegaFX Surround Chair,” to mine the show for various bonus themes.

The player gets to choose the volatility of the base game by selecting to switch to any of “three dimensions.” Each dimension has unique reel configurations and graphics. Randomly, various trivia questions and puzzles crop up—giving bonus awards along with a fun fact about The Twilight Zone. There also are seven mini-bonus features that appear in a random “Feature Zone.” The Feature Zone can trigger up to three times on a single spin.

Reel combinations trigger an “Enter the Wheel Zone” bonus in which the big wheels spin to credit awards, an extra spin or one of four additional bonus features:

“A Kind of Machine,” alluding to a well-known Twilight Zone episode, turns the reels into spinning cylinders, controlled “manually” by the player. The cylinders spin to credit awards and multipliers.

“Into The Zone Free Games” features free spins with up to 15 symbols filling the bonus reels. “A Most Unusual Puzzle” is a new twist on the picking bonus, in which players choose cubes in a Rubik’s Cube-like display to match different levels of jackpot. And “Dimensions of The Twilight Zone” has the player choose the volatility desired, then pick iconic images to reveal credit awards.
