The Young and Ascending

Emerging Leaders of Gaming brings recognition program to G2E

The Young and Ascending

Emerging Leaders of Gaming (ELG), launched by The Innovation Group in 2012, is a program designed to help today’s young executives transition into tomorrow’s industry leaders. Over the years, the program has grown to be the go-to network for up-and-coming professionals assuming the next generation of leadership in gaming, entertainment, hospitality, food and beverage, tourism and leisure. It supports the growth and development of these rising stars on their path to success and future senior-level and C-suite positions.

The ELG vision has been organic, and led by The Innovation Group’s own young professionals with their counterparts in operations, marketing, development, Native American enterprises, data analytics and sports betting. With continued industry consolidation and ever-increasing competitiveness, a platform for thoughtful and targeted professional development is even more important today. ELG’s objectives are to:

  • Provide networking opportunities at industry events and expand interaction among peers;
  • Deliver educational content through a variety of mediums including but not limited to webinars, social media (LinkedIn, Twitter) and periodic newsletters; and,
  • Offer exposure to the industry through recognition, articles and speaking opportunities.

The ELG 40 Under 40, produced in partnership with Global Gaming Business, which launched 40 Under 40 in 2006, recognizes 40 professionals under the age of 40 who are making significant impacts in the gaming industry. Countless gaming operators and suppliers have been supporters of the program, and over the years, have helped to broaden the program’s reach and impact.

Nominations were open to the industry from May through mid-August, allowing stakeholders to nominate colleagues or themselves. The selection process has become increasingly competitive with nominations continuing to significantly grow year-over-year. Nominations are reviewed by an industry advisory board whose guidance informs the selection of the top 40 honorees. Individuals named to the Emerging Leaders of Gaming 40 Under 40 are profiled in Global Gaming Business magazine and celebrated at an annual reception during the Global Gaming Expo.

This year’s Emerging Leaders of Gaming 40 Under 40 reception at G2E is sponsored by the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM), the International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA), the National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA) and Regulatory Management Counselors, P.C.

With a firm foundation, the Emerging Leaders of Gaming program intends to continue its work to create opportunities for our industry’s next generation of leaders to connect, engage and educate themselves. For more information, visit theinnovationgroup.com.
