Nevada Gaming Control Board Recommendations

The Nevada Gaming Control Board recommended approval of the partnership between MGM Mirage and Dubai World to develop resorts throughout the world, starting with CityCenter in Las Vegas. The board recommended licensing Dubai World, and also reported the suitability of four key officers operating the company. The Nevada Gaming Commission will be asked to consider final approval November 20. Dubai World owns a 50 percent share of CityCenter, as well as a 10 percent stake in MGM Mirage. “IÆm supporting this application because I see two entities in front of us that benefit each other,” Gaming Control Board Chairman Dennis Neilander said following a 90-minute hearing.
