More Fun, Less Hassle

Product: TournEvent 2.0 and 3.0 Tournament Systems
Manufacturer: Multimedia Games

The TournEvent system from Multimedia Games transforms the manual process of removing in-revenue slot machines from a casino floor and replacing them with tournament-only games, and provides a controller that creates excitement for slot tournament participants.

The controller connects the company’s games to a network, allowing them to be switched from in-revenue gaming to out-of-revenue tournament mode with a few clicks of a mouse. Tournaments can be configured on select games, banks or all TournEvent-capable cabinets from the company.

Utilizing the new TournEvent 2.0 and 3.0 versions, these tournaments are transformed into live-action slot entertainment, with cameras embedded in the slots recording live-streaming video of participants, beaming images on big screens, real-time leader boards and countdown-action broadcasting.

With TournEvent 2.0, a dynamic overhead sign displays real-time leader boards, with player names and current point total, and tournament results at the conclusion of each play. The video stream personalizes the tournament and creates excitement for both players and spectators.

TournEvent 3.0 additionally enhances the players’ experience and gives operators more options to facilitate and personalize their tournaments. Players can interact further and earn more credits in tournament play by touching on-screen objects to win extra bonuses. A dashboard presents real-time information to participants including player position, time left in tournament and current point total. A picture-in-picture video feed displays players’ streaming video and reactions. Also featured is an automated programmed host to interact with participants.

The system’s control center is housed in a single enclosure that can fit at the end of a slot bank, and features a workstation that folds away when no tournaments are in play. TournEvent has been recognized as one of the first server-based gaming systems to demonstrate significant operational enhancements for slot managers while also providing players with a high level of entertainment.
