MGM Resorts International has appointed Kelly Smith to the position of senior vice president and chief digital officer.

Smith, most recently vice president of global digital products for Starbucks, will be based in Las Vegas and report directly to Chief Experience & Marketing Officer Lilian Tomovich.

Smith also served as vice president, digital for Starbucks China, where he recruited and led product management, design and engineering teams.
