This latest featured game on Incredible Technologies’ PrismVXP Elite cabinet, with its motor-driven moving monitor, harkens back to one of the company’s earliest hits. The iconic “Money” brand, which originated with Crazy Money in 2011, returns with the PrismVXP Elite game Mega Money Catch.
In a familiar configuration, reel symbols are all cash bills, the images of presidents reprised on a progressive bonus wheel. The base game is a five-reel, 15-line game. Pays are “what you see is what you get,” as the bill values are added together in winning combinations. According to the manufacturer, higher denominations offer better odds at the Grand and Major progressives. Also, at the $1 denomination, an “AnglePay” mode is activated, with diagonal combinations of bills registering additional wins.
Above the reels are three money sacks, each representing a pot-style bonus trigger. As red, blue and orange bag symbols land on the reels, the corresponding sacks grow larger, until one or more of the sacks burst to trigger bonus features.
The red bag awards the Jackpot Money Catch bonus, the blue holds Extra Picks Money Catch, and the orange awards the Multiplier Money Catch. As the bags grow, the VXP display raises behind the main game screen. Any single bag that lands on the reels can trigger the corresponding bonus event, and all three can even be triggered at once.
All three bonuses are based on the classic Money Catch, where bills fly across the screen and the player touches as many as possible within a given time period. Players are given a total of 30 picks from the bills, which award cash or a wheel spin to award one of four progressives—the top Grand resets at $10,000—from the red bag, extra picks from the bills with the blue bag, multipliers with the orange bag, or any combination of these features with multiple bags.
